Bill Whitehill is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer and American Arbitration Association arbitrator who handles appeals, trials, and domestic and foreign arbitrations. He also provides trial and appellate strategic consulting, mediations, mock appellate argument, arbitrator, moderated settlement conference, and early neutral evaluation services.

Bill recently retired as a Justice on the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals at Dallas. That court is Texas’s largest and most active intermediate appellate court. While serving on that court, Bill authored over six hundred opinions covering a wide range of Texas law issues. He was a highly regarded jurist, known for his analysis and writing skills.

Before joining the Court of Appeals, Bill was a trial and appellate partner at one of Texas’s oldest and largest law firms. He handled antitrust, securities, domestic and international arbitrations, banking, commercial, business torts, real estate, hospitality, intellectual property, ERISA, and trust and estate matters. He successfully handled appeals in cases involving millions to billions of dollars. Bill brings a passionate and practical approach to his cases.

Bill is a frequent continuing legal education speaker for bar associations, law firms, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He is also actively engaged in professional and community organizations.
