Kendal Reed is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice focuses on complex commercial and bankruptcy matters. Kendal’s bankruptcy practice consists of representing debtors, creditors and Chapter 7 and 11 Trustees in bankruptcy and workout litigation, to include fraudulent transfer, discharge and claims objections, lift stay, adequate protection, confirmation, preference, and other adversary litigation.

Kendal’s litigation practice focuses on commercial disputes, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, partnership disputes, oil and gas and employment law. He regularly represents clients in state and federal courts across Texas and across the country in the areas of bankruptcy, breach of contract, fiduciary duty, fraud, business, securities and surety litigation.

Kendal graduated cum laude from Baylor Law School in 2005. As a member of the Baylor Law Review, he served as Executive Editor and Articles Editor and was a member of the Order of Barristers. As an undergraduate, Kendal studied political science and business at Texas A&M University. His interest in government took him first to Freeport, Texas, to oversee its main street revitalization program, and then to Washington D.C., where he assisted Congressman Dick Armey.

He was recruited out of law school by the international litigation firm of Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP, and practiced in commercial, products liability, insurance bad faith and business litigation. He gained experience representing large conglomerates on complex cases.

Kendal is a fifth generation Texan who hails from Amarillo. Kendal is an avid fan of college football and enjoys fishing and upland bird hunting.
