Before putting down roots in Dallas, Rory Nerenberg was guided by a powerful legacy etched in the roots of his family tree. Originally from Toronto and the youngest of three siblings, Rory carries a significant heritage marked by his paternal grandparents’ extraordinary survival during the Holocaust, including his grandfather’s endurance through three years at Auschwitz. This legacy greatly influences Rory’s life, and he is steadfast in making sure that the current generation remembers this very difficult time in our history.
Rory lives in University Park with his wife and three daughters. Outside of work, Rory loves traveling with his family (including ski trips to Colorado and holiday trips to New York City), supporting his girls’ dance, soccer, volleyball, and basketball teams, and attending Dallas Mavericks games with his girls who have become MFFLs (Mavs Fans For Life).

Rory has represented numerous developers and other sponsors in joint venture and recapitalization transactions with institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, etc. Rory’s experience includes programmatic joint venture structure whereby client and investor allocate large sums of money towards a number of properties over a period of time, as well as various property-specific joint venture transactions. Rory’s experience also includes recapitalization (i.e., take out existing investor and bring on new investor) of multiple grocery-anchored shopping centers across multiple states. Asset Management / Property Management
Rory has dealt with all types of asset management and property management-related issues, including lease defaults/disputes, landlord enforcement of rights and remedies, casualty-events (e.g., tornado) and corresponding insurance issues, maintenance/repair issues, redevelopment issues, etc.
