Condon Tobin litigation associate, Abigail Campbell (for a link to her bio, click here), has been elected to serve as the 2023 Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Law in the Schools & Community Committee.
The Law in the Schools & Community programs include (among other things) (i) Career Days providing legal volunteers the opportunity to speak to students in Dallas ISD classrooms about a career in the law, (ii) Law Day, a contest program for elementary, middle, and high schools students to submit posters, photographs, and essays on relevant legal themes, (iii) Mock Voir Dire, inviting local high schoolers to participate in a panel discussion based on legal themes and serve as a juror in a mock jury selection scenario, and (iv) Education Symposium, held annually in the fall for high school students and biannually in the spring for adults, presents panel discussions and interactive learning on various legal topics relevant to education including school security, the first amendment in schools, bullying & harassment, and how family law issues impact schools.
